Whether you want to find specific information on our activities, know more about footstepsandpedals or are simply surfing the net, our site is easy to use. Our pages are linked via the red underlined text links you'll find on each page. Our website is organised on the principal of a pyramid, in that from the intro page, after choosing your language, the welcome page then opens up the next tier, with an area dedicated to each of our activities. Following tiers give you in-depth information on each activity. The bottom tier of the pyramid gives the opportunity to contact us to reserve your place for an activity, or to answer any queries you may have.
If you want to return to the previous page it's easy, by clicking the red link between the page title and our footstepsandpedals logo.
On the right of the title bar on each page is a pair of flags, allowing you to switch between the English and Italian versions of each page.

How to book activities
We're currently working on our on-line reservation system. In the meantime if you want to be sure of a place for our activities please drop us an email giving details of your reservation. We'll then tell you how to confirm your booking via email.

What are the age limits for activities with footstepsandpedals?
We believe the outdoors can be enjoyed by all the family. However, our sporting activities are open to people from 8 years and up. Our family excursions are open to families with children from 4 to 8 years old.
I've booked an activity with footstepsandpedals but don't know where to find out how to join the activity.
We confirm on-line reservations, upon receipt of the reservation fee by email with your receipt, voucher and detailed itinerary, including meeting places, arrangements for lunch and what to bring with you.
Reservations made in person will be completed upon receipt of the reservation fee and you will be given the same documents detailed above for on-line bookings.

Is insurance included in the price of an activity?
Footstepsandpedals is a collaboration between 3 freelance professionals, we do'nt offer insurance we're afraid, please contact your insurer and check your policy before coming to our activities it is our policy to ask for insurance details from our clients.
What happens in the case of bad weather on the day of my booking?
In the case of inclement conditions we retain the right to cancel the activity. In the case of an activity being cancelled, we'll offer an alternative date and/or activity of a similar level based on our 2010 programme
We've adopted a reservation fee to enable you to pay the balance for each day's activity when it starts. The reservation fee is non-refundable but can be used in lieu of another similar activity as described above.
Once an activity has begun, in the case of curtailment due to inclement conditions, affecting group safety there is no refund of the paid sum.
Do I get a refund if I don't come to the reserved activity?
We've adopted a reservation fee to enable you to pay the balance for each day's activity when it starts. The reservation fee is non-refundable, also in the case that you reserve a place but don't come. In the case of inclement conditions either before or during an activity please refer to the proceeding Q&A.
We're a group of friends and we'd like to book as a group, do you offer group deals for reservations?

I'm staying in Pragelato for a while and I'd like to book a combination of activities.

What happens if I find I'm not fit enough to complete an activity?
We offer a range of activities suited to all levels of fitness. Please take care to select the activity best suited to the right level for you. Our philosophy is that it's better to start with something too easy and build up rather than finding yourself overstretched. For longer, full day activities it is better to prepare and build slowly before taking the challenge of the “big one”
Activities. For each of the sports listed below, we have an individual programme of lessons and excursions, collectively, these are our activities.
Mountain Bike (MTB). A specific bicycle designed for use in off-road conditions, modern mtbs are equipped with either single, front suspension (hard-tail) or with both front and rear suspension (full). The classification covers various disciplines, including cross-country, down-hill, all-mountain, endurance, trail bike among others.
Nordic Walking: An outdoor sporting discipline combining techniques from cross-country skiing and walking. Originally developed as a summer training technique for cross-country skiing, A relatively young sport, nordic walking is practised with the use of poles and provides an excellent work-out for the whole body.
Orienteering: The sport of locating specific points on a map along a pre-described route, aided by the use of map and compass.
Walking & Trekking. Nature, history, geology and tradition are our goals when showing you the mountains on foot. We define walking as routes up to 1 day in length. Trekking is defined as a route requiring more than one day's walking to complete.
Inclement conditions. Inclement conditions don't cover just bad weather, while we regularly check all the routes used for our activities sometimes the unforeseen occurs, this can also include the route being blocked by both natural and man-made causes, and every other type of natural phenomenon that occurs leading us to curtail or cancel a specific activity even when it has begun. We reserve the right to cancel an activity either prior to or during any activity offered by footstepsandpedals.
